Anonymous asked: Do you have any tips on writing songs, for guitar in your genre. I try but nothing seems to sound that great, and i never seem to be able to write whole songs that fit together only riffs etc. I have been playing for like 3 years and i'm pretty decent.
i really don’t know, i don’t really have a formula that i follow when i write, i just write what comes to me and arrange the songs myself. I guess just grouping riffs together that you think will work in the same song, and then writing transitions for them.
The more you write, the better you’re going to become at it, so i would suggest trying to put every riff into it’s own song, even if you think the songs sucks, you’ll have a bunch of songs you’ve written and it will have given you practice at actually structuring a song, and then you can pick and choose the best parts to rearrange into better, more refined songs.
